Thinning and TransplantingDuring this investigation, the students learn the importance of thinning and transplanting plants. Students are don't like to pull up any flowers that they have grown, but when we talked about the plants needs. The students realize that overcrowding in the quads will hinder growth. The students did what was necessary to help the plant grow. For plants that did not grow, we transplanted the overcrowded plants to that quad. After pulling the flowers that was overcrowded, we observed the root system and plant parts.
